Matrimonial Law
Family and matrimonial matters often involve both legal and emotional dimensions that demand discretion, sensitivity, and balance. Jus Law Associates assists in resolving a wide spectrum of issues under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the Special Marriage Act, 1954, the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890, and other relevant personal and secular laws.
JLA’s matrimonial practice covers, but is not limited to- divorce proceedings, judicial separation, maintenance and alimony, child custody and guardianship, domestic violence, and related matrimonial reliefs. Matters are handled before family courts, district courts, and High Courts, depending on jurisdiction and nature of relief sought. The practice also extends to drafting and review of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, settlement deeds, and custody arrangements in compliance with applicable laws. In all such engagements, confidentiality, empathy, and procedural diligence are maintained as integral principles.
Recognizing that adversarial proceedings can often deepen conflict, emphasis is placed on mediation, conciliation, and other forms of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) to promote amicable settlements wherever feasible. The objective remains to safeguard legal rights while enabling resolution that respects personal dignity and the welfare of all parties involved.
